First Draft

When I was young, I was dreamed the robot do my homework and housework instead of me. And now, as technologies are developed, my dream will become true in near futures. Robots originated in Czech "robota" means working. Like this meaning, robots work many things for help human. Robots work Difficult, Dirty, Dangerous job instead of humans. for instance, already many household clean the room by automated vacuum cleaners that people don't have to work. It is equipped with a number of sensor, so vacuum can clean the room with avoiding the obstacle. Moreover, robots clean the dirty drain pipes. If there are not robots, human should these dirty things. Robots also surgery people in hospital. Robots are more detailed and elaborated than people, so the dangerous of surgery is less then human. Like this, Robots are helpful to human. If we copy our common sense to robots, our lives can be more comfortable. However, there are also riskness, misuseness, and humans lethargy. So we shouldn't copy our common sense to robots.

In the movies named A.I, humans misuse the robots with common sense and feeling. There are the main characters named David is the boy robots. Some parents buy the David for their son because their real son is freeze as the health problem. David was happy with his human mother, and the mother also. But after the real son heal completed, David is thrown out. In this movies, humans always misuse and abuse the robots. So the robots have emotions are suffered with emotion. It is dislocated with ethics.

There are the another reasons that we shouldn't copy our common sense to robots because of robots threaten. Robots don't feel any pain and they don't have some emotions to sympathy. The robots of presents are safety because they don't have any common sense. But If they have a common sense, they will plan a doubt why we should obey to human. And they will attack human. Because they don't have any feeling, they will shoot all of people indiscriminately. It is the movie story about ' I, robot". It is the indicator that human should not copy our common sense to robots.

If robots intellectual skills are same with humans that can sympathize humans emotion, some people will only depend and follow robots than human. They can't feel the value of real life. and the company also don't want to hire human. There will be the problem of mass unemployment. Even the robots without common sense also the reason of a low employment rate nowadays.

Artificial intelligence systems are based on the ability of a machine to learn. Babies for example are born with the ability to learn and seek out knowledge, in the same way if an artificial intelligence system is created, it too will be the equivalent to a new born baby in the sense that is will learn and seek out knowledge. Although the human brain's ability far surpasses any computer, if AI was created and it was powerful enough it would be just like a baby. It could be taught to be good or bad. A great example is that  the author states, "Because AI is learning based, there is a fearful thought in mind, will machines learn that being rich and successful is an advantage, then rage war against economic powers and then control the world? This is not unreasonable but as every major religion and philosophy tells us, you cannot appreciate happiness without experiencing sadness. If we are going to create, or help create, a truly intelligent being, then we have to accept that it will learn to hate, as well as to love. It will know bad, as well as Good, Wrong, as well as Right". Because many theorists and scientists believe that it is not unreasonable that AI can go wrong there have been propositions to develop AI with safeguards so that we can shut them down in case they turn against humans or do not obey commands. In recent years there has also been the development of a non for profit organization named "The Singularity Institution for Artificial Intelligence".

Some said that robots with common sense are helpful in engineering, medical, housework, agriculture, industry, and combat. But it can make the society even confused. In the engineering, the robots take peoples job. There will be the problem of mass unemployment. In the medical, the operation error is more fatal than humans mistakes. And in the combat, Robots are dangerous weapon because they don't feel any pain.

Also, there are the people who argue that robots with common sense solve the society problems. For example, 'Ibo' is the pet dog robots, it can express the emotion like anger, surprising, and hunger . These robots are using well to senior citizens who live alone, and the people who needs some friends. But It even can make a backfire. The robots don't have any emotions, so people will notice they are not like human soon. It make the people more futile.
But I agree that the robots without common sense can be helpful to human

.
The development of robots are important to humans, and our descendants. It makes humans lives more comfortable and effective. But It only applies when human follow the robots ethics.Robots ethics  is often used in the sense that it is concerned with the behavior of humans, how humans design, construct, use and treat robots and other artificially intelligent beings, whereas * machine ethics is concerned with the behavior of robots themselves, whether or not they are considered artificial moral agents. While the issue is as old as the word robot robots ethics was probably first used by robotist Gianmarco Veruggio in 2002, who also served as chair of an Atelier funded by the European Robotics Research Network to outline areas where research may be needed. The road map effectively divided ethics of artificial intelligence into two sub-fields to accommodate researchers' differing interests. We should follow the robots ethics, so we shouldn't copy our common sense to robots.

Week10. Conclusion

Week9. Refutation and Concession

1. What is my thesis?
we shouldn't copy our common sense to robots.

2. What is the opposite position?
We should copy our common sense to robots.

3. What arguments can I anticipate?
a) Robots with common sense are helpful.
b) Robots can solve the society problem.

4. How will I counter those arguments?

a) Robots with common sense also harmful to human.
b) Robots make society confused.

My Refutation and Concession

Some said that robots with common sense are helpful in engineering, medical, housework, agriculture, industry, and combat. But it can make the society even confused. In the engineering, the robots take peoples job. There will be the problem of mass unemployment. In the medical, the operation error is more fatal than humans mistakes. My Topic:
We should copy our common sense to robots.

What I hope to learn from this source:

It is about robot ethics.

Notes:

Ethics is often slow to catch up with technological developments. This authoritative and accessible volume fills a gap in both scholarly literature and policy discussion, offering an impressive collection of expert analyses of the most crucial topics in this increasingly important field.

Final Thoughts: We should follow the robot ethics.

Week8. The Confirmation

1. What is my thesis?

We should copy our common sense to robots.

2. What types of source am I using to defend my thesis?

The movies about robots.

3. Are my arguments mostly based on evidence, logic or emotion?

My arguments are mostly based on evidence and logic with the example of the movies.

 My Confirmation

Artificial intelligence systems are based on the ability of a machine to learn. Babies for example are born with the ability to learn and seek out knowledge, in the same way if an artificial intelligence system is created, it too will be the equivalent to a new born baby in the sense that is will learn and seek out knowledge. My Topic:
We should copy our common sense to robots.

What I hope to learn from this source:

Robots out of humans controlling can be dangerous.

Notes:

the robots in this movie have emotions and common sense.
the robots rose the revolt to humans. so humans become dangerous.

Final Thoughts:

we can't copy our common sense to robots.

Week7. The Narration

My persuasive argument thesis is:  We should copy our common sense to robots.

1. What do people already know about my topic?

people already knows that robots are helpful but it also dangerous.
 .
2. What research has already been done about my topic?

it is about that robot have already evolved as it can help our difficult, danger, dirty things.
it is about that people abuse robot which have some emotion and common sense.

these are the movies that example of my topic.

3. What are the implications of my argument (What if I'm right? What if I'm right and people ignore me?)

There would be horrible things that robots conquer or threat humans like terminator. Or people misuse the robots like movie named A.I without the robot ethics.

My narration

As robots are developed, humans lives also developed. It is the evidence about robot worlds are coming soon. Robots has affirmative and negative effects. But we couldn't block the technology development even though there are negative sides.
Affirmative 'Ibo' is the pet dog robots, it can express the emotion like anger, surprising, and hunger. As our societies become dimness, these robots are helpful to solve the new society problem. And robots also helpful for engineering, medical, housework, agriculture, industry, and combat.
Negative If robots intellectual skills are same with humans that can sympathize humans emotion, some people will depend and follow robots than human. They can't feel the value of real life. and the company also don't want to hire human. There will be the problem of mass unemployment. and if the robots are out of the humans controlling, The dangerous things will be happen.

Week6. The Introduction

Like this, Robots are helpful to human. If we copy our common sense to robots, our lives can be more comfortable. However, there are also riskness, misuseness, and humans lethargy. So we shouldn't copy our common sense to robots.

1. Attention grabber -
I attracted the audience by mentioning about my dream related with robot.

2. Explains the topic -
In the attention grabber, I introduce the word robots origination to say that robots work many things for human.

3. My thesis -
My topic is that 'we should copy our common sense to robots'. I think it is not true.

Week4-5. Classic Argument

1. The introduction, which warms up the audience, establishes goodwill and rapport with the readers, and announces the general theme or thesis of the argument.
I will start by saying the movie about robots. It is about good image of robots. But I will also mention disadvantages of robots. I will relate  it with my topic.I want to notice people that we should observe the robot ethics. If we copy our common sense to robots, there will occur unethical things. So we shouldn't copy our common sense to robots.
2. The narration, which summarizes relevant background material, provides any information the audience needs to know about the environment and circumstances that produce the argument, and set up the stakes-what’s at risk in this question. In academic writing, this often takes the form of a literature review.
I will give a basic idea disadvantaged and advantaged reasons about robot.
3. The confirmation, which lays out in a logical order (usually strongest to weakest or most obvious to most subtle) the claims that support the thesis, providing evidence for each claim.
I will explain why I disagree with the topic that we should copy our common sense to robots.     1. people can misuse the robots.(robots ethics) 2. The robots can threat human.(dangerous) 3. people will only depend on robots without their capacities.(dependence)
4. The refutation and concession, which looks at opposing viewpoints to the writer’s claims, anticipating objections from the audience, and allowing as much of the opposing viewpoints as possible without weakening the thesis.
-Some will say that robots with common sense are comfortable because it help our lives. However, it can makes human lose their job.
5. The summation, which provides a strong conclusion, amplifying the force of the argument, and showing the readers that this solution is the best at meeting the circumstances.
I will close with a summary of my previous points by arguing that people should follow the robot ethics. People should know about shortcoming and dagerous things about robot with common sense.

My Topic:
we should copy our common sense to robot.

What I hope to learn from this source:

people abuse robot which have some emotion and common sense.

Notes:
  1. A.I is the movie about little boy robot who needs mother.
  2. In the Movie, human use robot badly even though they have some emotions.
Final Thoughts:

Even though we can copy our common sense to robot, It rose some problems like ethics.

Week3. Articulation

1) My argument Write your argument in one sentence. Then, spend some time explaining it.

-we should copy our common sense to robot.
-we shouldn't copy common sense to robot because they can abuse the robot systems, and they can conquer human.

2) How I found my argument Explain how your research helped you find your argument. Or, in other words, how did your research evolve into your argument? Start with your research question.

- I was the presenter of the part about comparing human and robots in harvard sampler. that book introduced that robot can't be human because of common
sense. so I wanted to know the common sense and researched about what if robot has a common sense.

3) New research questions What do you still need to know? What is your research plan?

-What are the advantages robots have the common sense?
-Is the emotion involved in common sense?
-The movie named A.I is the great example of my essay. And I should research more about what happens if robot has a common sense. There are many movies the story about robots common sense. I will use the movies for the example.

4) Connections to the Harvard Sampler How is your argument connected to the Harvard Sampler? ANY CONNECTION IS VALID. Please focus on choosing a good argument first, then think about how it is related to the Harvard Sampler. I will help you think of the connection if necessary.

In the Harvard Sampler Chapter 1 Human Minds, the author compared robots and human. He said that Robot can't be human because of a common sense. I was curious that if our technologies can copy humans common sense to robot, we should copy or not.
